How to find Designer Clothes on a Budget
Finding a Kate Spade dress for $100 or under can be quite a challenge. Normal retail prices average about $360-$450 typically, which in the scheme of things isn't a violable option for an everyday kind of dress. However, when you take into account the construction and detail included, such as those nifty bra strap stays that allow you to not worry about showing what shouldn't be shown, in a dress you can see why the price is higher. So, to answer how you find such a good deal on the dress you desire, that is out of your price range, I give you these essential tips:
- Search online under the specific dress name, or if you don't know it use the images filter and a description of the dress. Above I searched for animal print and zebra print.
- Go to Ebay and search under the same criteria above. Sometimes sellers don't know what they have either, so you can do a search on type of dress and print.
- Be diligent and read between the lines when surfing and know what you are looking for. The reason I found this dress is because I had added it to my Kate Spade wish list and memorized it in detail.
- Keep tabs on the sale section of a store that sells a particular dress you are looking for. Nordstrom for instance does occasionally send current items to Nordstrom Rack, so look often.
- Lastly, you may want to look on sites that cater to resale such as Poshmark or Walk In My Closet, where individuals post items that they no longer are wearing or are brand new. Happy hunting.
