When: Last Friday, because it was oddly warm enough not to need a jacket.
I found this lovely fur collared sweater in a small vintage shop here in Boulder, when I was looking for a cover up so I wouldn't freeze at my sisters wedding in balmy Seattle. It is one of my favorite pieces and has become a versatile item here in Colorado, where layering is key. The luxurious of the fur and depth of the brown and black together make this sweater work in both casual and more formal occasions. I have both a mix of faux and real fur in my collection of clothing. The few fur items I own are vintage, mostly collars from the attic that I have found from the 1950's. I believe that giving these vintage fur pieces a second chance so that the can be appreciated for how beautiful they are is worth risking the wrath of others who are judgmental when it comes to fur. Everyone has an opinion though, and this is mine.
